I think the Backhoe Loader B-model of Lego Technic set 42209, by “klimax” is a fantastic build, it is smart, efficient, and fun. It delivers a lot of what makes Technic great: real mechanical functions, clever reuse of parts, and a tangible sense of “engineering”. While it’s not as grand or heavy as the original 42209 loader, it doesn’t try to be; instead, it trades size for versatility and ingenuity.
If you own the 42209 set (or are considering it) and enjoy tinkering with alternate builds, this MOC is absolutely worth the time to build. It offers a different experience from the official model, more compact, but still functional and rewarding. Please see my video below.
